SCBWI Southern Breeze presents the THIRD annual Manuscript and Portfolio Critique Event & I’m Hosting!

June is writing contest month for Southern Breeze, the Georgia/Alabama/Coastal Florida region of the Society for Book Writers & Illustrators. Throughout the months of May and June, we’re sponsoring manuscript swap events all over the region. These are free events, open to the public. Simply notify the host you’re coming, then bring 10, double spaced pages of the first chapter of your work (up to 10 pages) and come share them. Here are the details for two Show-Mo events I’m hosting in June:

LOCATION: 915 Commercial Street, Conyers, Georgia 30012 (please come to Rail Road Street Door no later than ten minutes before event begins. It’s a 2 story building with a black awning over the door.

March 15th and 16th, 2019, TK will be at her SCBWI region, Southern Breeze’s writing conference, Spring Mingle, where she will “launch” Ranger Nader & The Sunstruck Phantom, and sign books.

SCBWI Local Liaison Events Hosted by TK That Are Free, Open to the Public and for Writers:

  • October 20, 2018: The Read Law Firm, P.C. co-hosted with the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, an Authors’ Table for writers at the Olde Town Conyers, Fall Festival between the hours of 10am to 5pm.
  • 10:00am – 2:pm, 2/3/18 Saturday, First Ten, First Five Readings & Feedback at The Read Law Firm in Olde Town Conyers, 915 Commercial Street, Conyers, Georgia, 30012. Participants will read their work out loud, and others will give them feedback on how they may improve it. This is a free event, open to the public, so bring your non-SCBWI writing friends.   • 10:00am -2:pm, 3/3/18 Saturday, Elevator Pitches and Query Letter Feedback at The Read Law Firm in Olde Town Conyers, 915 Commercial Street, Conyers, Georgia, 30012. TK’s Literary Ramblings:

  • Attended Georgia Romance Writer Monthly meetings in January and February, 2018;
  • Will be hosting a SCBWI local event at her offices on March 3, 2018 for  “Elevating Your Pitch.”
