December 1st, 2025: I’m on faculty!
Yes! I’ll be presenting as faculty at this year’s WIK conference. My presentation will focus on what has worked for me as far as marketing my books and what hasn’t, and hopefully sharing some insights with my fellow children’s book authors. I’m super excited about this, as it is forcing me to up my game over the next several months. So what’s going on?
— I’ll be part of a writer’s panel this Saturday. It’s free and open to the public, so check it out!
In March, 2026 Spring, I’ll be presenting at my region of SCBWI, Southern Breeze’s annual writing conference in Birmingham. More details on this even later.
And… before during and after, I’ll be Kickstarting some books! The first is the third book in my Ranger Nader & The Guardians series.
I’m working on the murky middle now (the ending is already written. I know! but sometimes for my process it’s easier to write the beginning and the ending and fill in to make the ends meet). I’m also working on the cover and my Kickstarter campaign give-aways and level benefits. I’m really excited about this and I will designing everything myself and I love letting the creative inside of me lose on different projects.

I’m going to run a tight campaign, straddling Earth Day and Arbor Day with fullfillment beginning World Environment Day. Part of the reason I’m keeping it tight, is that I may launch another one in July! More on this later.
